Morgan Metal FinishingMorgan Metal Finishing is owned by Mike and Nancy Kegley out of Palos Verdes, CA. The company does anodizing of aerospace parts (airplane) and some aftermarket automotive parts. Anodizing will protect the aluminum parts by making the surface much harder than natural aluminum. Aluminum oxide is grown out of the surface during anodizing and then becomes aluminum hydrate that is extremely hard. The porous nature of the anodized layer allows the product to be dyed any color that is required. Mike and Nancy have purchased the old Huber lab located at 1111 Penn and will begin cleaning and renovation June 1st. Mike and Nancy’s daughter, Jana and son-in-law, Charlie Morgan will be moving to Borger and taking up residence in our fair city. When the company is fully operational they will employ 30 full time employees and as additional shifts are needed more full time employees will be added.

Sglass, LTDSglass, LTD is a company that manufactures fiberglass hunting blinds and after market auto parts. They are expanding from an existing facility located in Bridgeport, TX. The company has recently acquired contracts to manufacture ambulance tops and the existing facility is not large enough to add this line. Sglass will also begin manufacturing fiberglass tanks for the oil and agricultural industries. They anticipate 15 employees within the first year of operation in the Borger facility. The plant will be located at 605 Industrial Blvd. |
